Vancouver had still not fully dug out from the big dumping of snow we got just before Christmas, so I decided to go for a walk and document the lingering winter conditions. See my Winter in Vancouver and Snowy December Walk galleries for more snow! Descriptions follow...
Photos 1-4: side streets are still very icy and treacherous, often with big piles of snow preventing anyone from parking, anyone who isn't stuck there already that is! Photos 5-9: not everyone has dug their vehicles out yet. Photo 10: many sidewalks have not yet been shoveled. Photo 11: some people have made an effort, others not. Photo 12: what kind of a bizarre attempt at shoveling is that? It's not as though that was on a hill! Photo 13-15: this woman was trying to train her dog to fetch. See the frisbee, doggie? Okay, I've thrown it... now go get it! Doggie doesn't quite get the concept yet I suppose. The last photo was taken out my back window that same evening - more snow!
