Images 1-10 were taken during the ferry ride to Föhr. The track that the ferry takes is well marked and it needs to stay in the same "groove" to ensure it does not run aground! During low tide, the sea is so shallow than you can practically walk betweek the islands, so I imagine the ferry's track has somehow been dredged out.
Photo 11 is the house where we are staying and the rest were taken in the town of Oldsum, Wyk or along the beaches. The woman in the lighter pink top is my aunt, Ruth Fuchs, who was kind enough to not only put us up, but make us breakfast every day and take us all around the island showing us the sights. I love the brick houses with the thick thatch roofs… they are so photogenic! More good luck with the weather meant some nice blue skies for much of the day.
There were an amazing number of jellyfish in the water during the ferry ride and this continued on the beach, where there were thousands of stranded jellyfish all along the shore at low tide - see photos 45, 58 & 59.
