With an XF 56mm f/1.2R APD lens on loan from Fujifilm, I decided to head out and shoot something this lens is really designed for... portraits. My lovely colleague Nicole was kind enough to brave the cold and agree to be the model for this test session - thank you Nicole! These were all shot handheld on Granville Island, with my Fujifilm X-E2 and 56mm APD wide open at f/1.2 and the main light source (apart from the nighttime ambient) was a compact EagleTac MX25L3C flashlight (with six high-CRI Nichia 219B LEDs) mounted to a 2 foot diameter octabox. Lastly, my colleague Kathy was kind enough to be my assistent and hold the light during the shoot - thanks Kathy!
