A gallery of images from a rainy wander though Gastown, in the dark, on a Fujifilm Photo Walk. Several reps from Fujifilm were on hand to head out with about 50 other people, most already being Fujifilm X-system shooters, although a few were shooting with other brands and were likely there because they were thinking of switching. I was honoured to meet Fujifilm Canada's new president, Ryuichi (Richie) Matoba (photo 2) who also seemed to be a photo enthusiast. Greg Poole, one of the "Fuji Guys" was also on hand to lead one of the groups and answer lots of questions. We all met at the Revolver Cafe, where the first photo is showing about half of the people who attended.
I also had a chance to try out a production XF 16-55mm f/2.8R LM WR and it was impressive - photos 12-18 were from it. I am very much looking forward to my own 16-55mm arriving in a few days and I will, of course, be doing lots of testing and posting my results and images on my blog. On this night, I shot mostly with my X-E2 and XF 10-24mm f/4R OIS zoom (the stabilization came in handy as everything was handheld) and while neither is said to be weather resistant, they both easily proved up to handling the light rain.
