A gallery of images shot with Fujifilm's original kit zoom lens, the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4R LM OIS. I used to own that lens but sold it along with my X-E1 body over a year ago. In the end I missed having a mid-range zoom, but had decided to wait for the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 professional zoom to arrive. As impressive a lens as the new 16-55mm is, I decided not to get it since it was simply too big and heavy for me to have any interest in carrying it around on a regular basis! So, when I recently ordered myself a second X-E2 body, I decided to get it with the 18-55mm kit zoom once again.
I am actually very impressed with this lens' performance, more so than I can recall actually, but part of that is likely due to the better raw processing options there are these days. These raw images were all processed with the latest version 3.0 of Iridient Developer. Most photos in this gallery were handheld, except the very last one which was a 3 second exposure, where the camera was propped on a concrete block, as well as photos 2-8, where I was also testing a new ball-head for my tripod.
