Bodie & Yosemite, CA

Most if this gallery consists of photos taken at the amazing ghost town of Bodie, in eastern California. Photos 1 & 2 were taken south of Bodie, along highway 395, and 67 through 75 were taken during a quick drive through Yosemite National Park, on the way to the west coast of California. Most interior photos in Bodie were actually taken from outside, through glass that was often dusty, dirty and sometimes even distorted. Care was taken to minimize external reflections but I only used my left hand, my hat or the position of my body for this. All shots are handheld and no tripod was used, although often I was able to prop myself on walls and window frames when the shutter speeds were low.
Several buildings were open to the public and I was able to avoid taking photos through glass, notably photos 13-20, 22 and also photos 40 and 46. The panorama (photo 65) was a four shot stitch. Some spots I went back to a few times, trying to avoid other people and thus I have reordered some images in this gallery into logical groupings.
